Would Acai Berry supplements be safe for me to take?

I’m 14, 131 pounds, and 5’7". My mom has a bottle of Acai Berry weight loss supplements she doesn’t want, and I wasn’t sure if it would be okay for me to take. It says for children under 18 to contact a physician, but my mom doesn’t want to bother with that. So I turned to the internet. Is it safe?
I forgot to add, I work out regularly and eat fairly well. My friend took them (she’s 17) and they helped her lose some "flab" in her stomach and thighs. I would like to lose a LITTLE in those areas..

Safe or not? No idea. Probably won’t do anything but before you stick them into your mouth, you may want to do a bit more research: http://www.google.ca/search?hl=&q=acai+berry+scam&sourceid=navclient-ff&rlz=1B3GGGL_enCA214CA214&ie=UTF-8

no you shouldn’t take those supplements. they will not do much to help you. you need to have a reasonable diet and a good workout routine. you should focus on eating whole foods and not supplementing with junk products that you don’t even know what’s in them!
