Online Acai Berry Scam……What do I do?
I ordered a free trial bottle of a Acai Berry Supplement through the internet. I paid .00 shipping and I got the bottle in 4 days. I never opened it and didn’t even want to try it anymore.
I paid for this on 2/20 (13 days ago.)
I looked at my bank accounts and I have been charged .81 (on 3/4).
WTF?
I freaked out. I went to the website I ordered from and read the fine print. If you don’t call to cancel within the 14 days you get charged for the "trial" bottle, and are automatically enrolled for a month supply every month. I am PISSED. I did not know this obviously and am freaking out.
According to their rules I have until tomorrow to cancel this SCAM, before I get charged. But my acccount is missing that .81 NOW.
I can not afford to pay this and don’t want anything to do with these stupid pills.
I am on hold with the company right now, but I don’t think they are going to pick up anytime soon. What if they don’t?
What can I do? (besides not ever doing this again)
They answered. They are refunding .00 in 3-5 days. Thats how the make their money-the .81 they are keeping is their profit for scamming me. I am 20 years old and will sacrifice that .81. I have learned my lesson. Internet ordering B-A-D.

i am so sorry they got you too. they did the same thing to me charged my debit card $84.77 and 29.95 and a few $2 charges. i called my bank cancelled my card, and am waiting on the charges to clear in order for my bank ( regions ) to dispute them. i cannot get a person on the number i called to cancle my order, that i didnt even order! its such a scam and should be illegal. these so called terms and conditions are not visable when placing your "free trial order". i am 19 and cant afford this either, my bank says that they will take care of it so for now i dont know. i would suggest calling your bank and telling them that you have unauthourized charges to your account, as i did and let them handle it. chances are that they have already heard of this scam, people are saying as of now it is the number one scam in america.

I am 24 and I am in the process of fighting this myself. I called my bank (Bank of America) and they had at first put the money back in my account. But today (5 months from when this all happened) the money has been taken back out of my account and also $140 in over draft charges cuz I have been using my debit card. On top of that I can’t stop my direct deposit from going in that I was gonna use to pay the electric bill that is past due.
Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
This has all been a nightmare.
Just be oh so happy you got some money back. But to the girl waiting to fix this. Its probably not gonna happen. But good luck, maybe you can give us all hope.
