I am on diet right now, and I jog and I am on a 800-900 calorie diet. I have been doing this for about a month now and I have lost 7 pounds. Drink water only! Eat fruits, vegetables, and things that are all good for you . Diet Pills are bad and plus I don’t think you are losing any fat then .

First off, congrats for taking the initiative and moving towards a healthier lifestyle! Since you’re under 20 yrs old, I would not recommend taking pills or supplements to aide your weight loss. If you ‘just wanna shed a few pounds’, try ramping up your exercise program and keep track of what you eat, like a food diary. I actually write out my daily meal plans to help prevent over eating and snacking. I have found this to be really helpful! Also, add some strength training into your routine. If you are new to this, do not try heavy weights at first. Building muscle=more fat burned, even while you’re sedentary! If you do decide to strength train, the number on the scale may go up at first, this is b/c muscle weighs more than fat and you are obviously building muscle. Don’t get discouraged! Remember, don’t go below 1200 calories a day, the minimum needed to keep yourself alive. Make sure you eat plenty of fruits, veggies, protein, healthy fats. If this still does not work, I would consider getting your thyroid checked. OR maybe you think you need to lose a few pounds, but are just right for your age and height! Listen to your body and make sure you feel right. Here is a site to calculate your BMI and caloric needs based on your activity level. This is considered to be the most accurate tool which dieticians use in order to calculate calorie needs. Hope this helps and good luck with everything!! ( :

No wonder you have failed.. You tried diets and all the fads. If you eat less than 2000 calories a day you will go into starvation mode. Starvation mode eats away the muscle in your body and stores the energy in the food you eat as fat. So yes you will lose weight, but you will be fatter because muscle weighs more than fat. You will also be in worse shape and your body is trying to stay alive.

My brother is a personal trainer and studied nutrition and I used to be fat, so listen up!!!! Here’s what you need to do:

1)Get at least 8 hours of sleep every night.

2)Drink at least 2-3 liters of water every day, or in other words at least 8 8 ounce glasses. Drink orange juice and milk in the morning. Eat a lot of protein, whole grains, and fruits. Be sure to eat enough vegetables and dairy products too. Just be sure you eat at least 2000 calories, and if you exercise for more than hour, you will need to eat even more to fuel your body. Also stay away from junk food, sodas, energy drinks, and all that stuff. You can have a real dessert, but make sure you eat your meal first.

3)Exercise! Be sure to allow at least 1 or 2 days a week to rest your muscles and your body and stretch every day. Run, run, and run some more. Interval train every few times you run. Interval training is basically sprinting for a set amount of time then running at a moderate pace at a set amount of time and going back and forth. Swim laps if you know how to swim. Do pushups, situps, planks, squats, lunges, pullups, dips, and jumping jacks.

If you would like to get into weight training, only listen to people who are certified to teach others about it. Many people have no clue what they’re doing.

If you would rather not exercise, just walk or go on hikes and keep moving.
