Is using an acai berry supplement and a colon cleanse together as effective as people claim?
Lately I’ve noticed tons of advertisements praising acai berry and colon cleansing as the "new" healthy way to lose weight. So my questions are (a) is it really healthy, or dangerous? and (b) does it work? Frankly, colon cleansing makes me a little nervous–it just doesn’t seem natural, and I don’t have time to be near a bathroom all day. I’d feel okay about taking an acai berry supplement if it would help my metabolism, though, since I take a multivitamin every day already.

Hey there,
I’ve actually had pretty great results using those two products together. I’m the type of person who dieted on-and-off for years, but I never really saw the results I wanted with diet and exercise alone. Like I’d drop a few pounds, but then hit a huge plateau no matter what I did. Adding acai berry and a colon cleanse helped kick up my metabolism and energy levels.
And I understand your concerns about colon cleansing – I was totally nervous about what would happen after I took it and whether or not I’d be running back and forth from my desk to the toilet all day. Fortunately, none of that was a problem – I think the real key is to find a gentle cleansing formula that includes a probiotic supplement. The supplement will boost the level of beneficial bacteria in your colon – which means you’ll be digesting more of the waste product built up in your intestines instead of relying solely on elimination.
Anyways, if you want to learn more about the products that worked for me, check out my blog at http://www.sarasweightloss.org. I think both of the companies I use are still offering free trials of their products, so you could test them out and see if they work for you, risk free.
Good luck with your weight loss!

The acai berry has become very popular, mostly because of it’s high level of antioxidants, which are good for you. There is no proven relation to the acai berry or colon cleansing and weight loss or increased metabolism. If you want to take acai berry, you can get it in a frozen form in health food stores. I use them to make smoothies and they’re great. Much better than taking a pill.

Many companies offer free trials of Acai so you can ‘try before you buy’. That’s probably the best bet. This site lists free trial offers:
