Is there a weight loss supplement that is safe to take along with coumadin (warfarin)?

Every weight loss supplement that I can find has green tea or st. john’s wort, or other things that you are not allowed to take while on coumadin. I’d really like to find something that I can take that will work without interacting with the coumadin.

if you want to lose weight i strongly suggest you see your physician first because you don’t want complications whether you have heart disease or had dvt or some other reason to be on warfarin. you need the ok from your physician and to be referred to a registered dietician and physiotherapist or proper trainer .
don’t take any supplements unless your dr knows about it , even herbal . be very very careful . good luck!

There are no safe wls’s or everyone would be as thin as they wanted to be. Don’t hurt your body by trying to lose weight the fast way. Less calories, more activity works but it is slow. But it means you won’t hurt your body anymore and may live to help your children eat wisely.
Foods today have many additives and non-essentials in them, and so are bodies are reacting. Packaged foods, fast foods, soups, etc are all full of overabundance of salt (water retaining), carbohydrates (excess will add fat to body), and so on. But, I’m not going to talk about that, as the information on healthy food is everywhere. Just don’t rush the weight loss…the cure can be worse than the ailment. Don’t hurt yourself, please.

There is no such thing as a safe weight loss supplement, period.

But something that does work with any med is a proper diet and (which your doctor’s approval) exercise. Before changing your diet, ask your pharmacist if there are any foods that you should avoid with your meds. And remember, your meds come first.
