Is the hcg diet a scam?
You know how it is…first it was Atkins, then green tea, then acai berry, now it’s hcg drops/injections.
Do you know anyone who has gone on this diet or have you gone on it yourself? All of the websites that sell it claim that you don’t gain the weight back but that seems strange not to happen after going off a 500 calories per day diet….
I don’t know what to think….I’d like some personal experiences with this diet. Is it worth it, or is it just another fad that won’t work?

You’re catching on. The diet and supplement industry is unregulated. They can pretty much claim anything they like, as long as the products they are selling are from natural sources. There are no miracle diets / pills / berries, etc. It’s about calories, nutrients, and common sense. I would not recommend a diet that’s 500 calories per day.

I can’t give any personal experience, well…it’s somewhat personal..
My wife started the HCG oral drop diet, and started to shed some weight pretty steadily….she didn’t like it at first because of the change in the amount of food you consume, but the HCG protocol shows you how to eat and keep your body functioning healthily on 500-800 calories a day.
She said she liked the way that it made her feel at the end, as though she’d done a cleansing of her body or something along those lines..

Big scam, you’ll seriously harm your body eating only 500 calories a day. Simply exercise, eat healthy, and the weight will drop off!
