I need a good weight loss supplement?

I work out twice a day. I lift light weights in the morning mixed with a little cardio, alternating muscle groups. I run 2-4 miles at night. I have a high protein diet with light carbs. I dont want to bulk up, I just want to tone up. Does anybody know of any good supplemts for fat burning?

    I used to use ephedra based products and despite all the hype I think if they were used in low dosages they were safe, it was those abusing them who had problems, plus it’s still used to treat asthma so you have to wonder. That said, i’ve tried a bunch of ephedra free products and nothing worked. A few I had good results with were Venom hyperdrive, the only downside to this one is it gave me so much energy I couldn’t sleep and had to use the Venom LeanDreams with it. The best thing i’ve used in a long time is what i’m taking now it’s called Akavar 20/50 and I purchased these in Walmart. The thing i’ve noticed most is increased energy, less apetite and when I do eat I feel full on less food. I’ve been taking about 3 weeks and I’ve lost about 7 lbs…might not sound like much but my weight had hit a plateau and the loss was the first i’d seen in months! Everyone is different though and what works for one person might not work for another….example, Hoodia does nothing to supress my hunger. Some health food stores offer sample sizes of the different diet pills so you may want to check that out. Also research like crazy and check with your physician before you start taking ANYTHING as you may have conditions that will effect your health.

    Count your calories. You say you have a high protein, low carb diet, but I’m assuming that also means high in fat. If you are taking in more calories that you are burning, you will never lose weight. Just spend a week and calculate how many calories you are eating per day, how many calories you are burning (plus, your BMR), and adjust. You may even find you are not even eating enough.

    Best thing for burning fat is cardio, so something else is going on here. Supplements will only cause erratic heart rhythms for overdosing on caffeine and other stimulents. Be healthy, okay?

    All the tv advertisements promot a abs workout machine to get your belly to be less fat and more muscle. This is totaly a fluke. You have to use your whole body for a long period of time to burn fat. You can’t work out one area to burn fat in THAT area(like your arms)….if that were so you would see all those people that bought the machines have the oppisite of a tire waist….fat feet, legs, butt, little stomach, man boobs, fat arms and triple chins. It does work that way…so..WALK, RUN!!!

    Your boobs are made of fat. So any plans of loosing weight you will loose in breast size as well. If you are wanting to keep your boobs for sex appeal….there ARE guys out there that aren’t big on boob size (I am one of them)…some actually care about the heart that lies beneath your chest and not what sits on top!

    So, up the protein, and reduce the fats and sugars. You would be on the right track with a endurance workout, not cardio. The hard part with the cardio workouts it, you could do those everyday for a year and not loose a pound. You are only bettering the heart and building little muscle. To burn fat you have to get past the cardio and shoot for endurance. Keep your pace at a high medium (60-70% intensity) and push for a long amount of time or distance. You have to first burn all the food (energy or calorie amount) you are intaking before your workout, and keep going, …then to the point you are burning fat. Stay away from breads if you can, and shoot for a potato or a sweet potato, no later then lunch, cause you don’t want to sleep on the starch/carbs/sugar all night. Don’t look to fat burning supplements until your diet is at it’s pinicale. Drink plenty of cold water, about 120oz/day. The body has to use energy to keep you warm, so drinking cold water that the body will have to heat up will put those calories (or extra calories) to good use. Also the water is great for synthisising the protein to the muscles, detoxing the body, and lubricating the joints. I hope any of that helps….Good luck!!!

    Also I’ve learned of a new supplement. Phosphatidylserine, which causes a decrease in Cortisol contractions in the blood stream. Cortisol is a hormone that is produced with stress that will cause fat to build up MAINLY in the mid area. So possibly lessen your stress, through a tea, meditation, or yoga, or get Phosphatidylserine to help that along. again Good Luck!!!
