How much weight can I lose doing this?
I have been consuming 1500 calories and burning 1000 at the gym. I eat the 1500 calories in six small meals a day and eat little to no carbs and very little fat. How much weight can I expect to lose in one month? I am 5 feet 6 inches and I weight 145 pounds. Also, I don’t want anyone to respond with links to weight loss supplements, acai berry, or anything that does not include pure diet and exercise.

That’s really dangerous–you’re only taking in 500 calories a day, essentialy. The absolute minimun for dieters is supposed to be 1,200. Plus, you’re not getting the proper nutrients you need b/c you’re burning them all off during your marathon sweat sessions. Soon you’ll be too weak to even exercise. Start exercising a little less, or eating more. But if you want to calculate your weight loss, know that 1 pound=3,500 calories.

You are spending too much time with calorie counting. Eat when you are hungry. Plan your meals and eat what you want as long as it is mostly protein. You are not even overweight to begin with. If you go to website, a free one, with privacy, fitday.com, you can input the food and exercise and get a real report about the calories, and what nutrients you are missing. Also, you can set up your goal weight and calculate how much you need to lose per day to reach it. It is free, so don’t pay anything, as they have a premium program, which I don’t like.

It depends how old you are.
Use a BMR calculator to determine your resting metabolic rate (the number of calories you burn without exercising). Someone age 25 at your height and weight will burn 1478 calories not including exercise. The easiest way to determine what you will lose (and how quickly) is to calculate the 2,478-1500 (for example) which leaves daily deficit of 978 calories. There are 3,500 calories in a pound, so it’s about 2lb per week. You should not aim to lose faster than that, because a) your skin is more likely to be loose if you lose too much weight too fast and b) if your body is undernourished it may slow down your metabolism, making it much harder for you to lose weight. You’re already on a pretty extreme diet so do not get freaked out trying to lose 5 pounds in a day because that could make you sick.
Also, carbs and fat are an important part of your diet. If you’re already eating so few calories, you should aim for about 50% carb, 30-40% protein, and 10-20% fat to make sure you’re getting what you need.
How much do you want to lose? You should have an idea of what your healthy body weight is and set a goal before you get too caught up, because otherwise you deprive yourself of any sense of success and it’s easier to feel impatient and discouraged. Good luck with your weight loss goals!
