How can i lose 500 calories a day?

im 13. 5’4. 160lb. i need to lose 500 calories a day for 7 days a week so i can lose a pound a week. please include in your answer how many calories i will burn. thank you.

    it is not about burning it is about consuming & storing them. Your breakfast & your lunch got digested &consumed during your day time while doing your normal activity, but the major connection between you & calories is your dinner cos u don’t do any activity after dinner and simply go to bed , o best is have your dinner 3-4 hr befor going to bed do simple work out in the morning and if possible avoid ur dinner or have something very lite u will see the difrence frm 1st day only

    *^* Replace the 3 sodas that you drink with 3 glasses of water
    *^* Walk a few miles on treadmill @ around 3mph
    *^* Start getting up out of bed 1 hour earlier than you normally would, so you have that extra hour of calorie burning to help you!
    That one hour will most definitely be helpful, as long as you are not eating extra food in that hour too!

    That is really good that you are willing to go at it slowly and you are not expecting to drop 20lbs a week.

    You did not mentioned present weight. If you want to lose 500 calories you must be too much fat. If so you wake up early in the morning. Go for morning walking at least one to two hours. don’t intake fat items and prefer to eat light bread and liquid. I think you at least 1600 calories a day.http://forex-keshab.blogspot.com/

    As a mother I would tell you to quit worrying about your weight at 13 but an easy way to cut out 500 calories a day – no soft drinks, diet drinks have no calories but the artificial sweetners will make you crave sugar.

    Make sure you check with your parents and your doctor before you start trying to lose any weight, your weight will change quite a bit as you get older, so quit worrying about that number and just enjoy yourself. Like I said I’m a mother. Good luck!

    you need to find out how many calories that you need to eat
    and cut them by about 200 for your age. becuase at your age, you should not really diet
    but to stay active
    you can exercise to make up the difference for about an hour of pretty much anything that gets your heart pumping
    also make sure you are eating healthy, about 2 fruits and 2 veggies
    thats how i lost 60 pounds

    I RUN ON THE TREDMILL FOR 20 MINUTES ON SPEED 8 WITH IS BURNING 800 CALORIES. BUT WHO CARES? URE 160 NO BIGGIE.

    run/walk at a fast pace for 50 minutes. stand instead of sitting while watching tv. (this wont burn exactly 500, but it will burn a few calories which will help you with weight loss over all)

    dont eat AS much. watch your portions. eat lettuce/salad. its low on calories and fills you up.

    dont sit around all day. get up and do something.

    drink lots of water because that fills you up too.

    You don’t lose calories — you burn em. Sorry – it’s the only way.

    Cardio workouts or HIIT training would work best.

    i lost 4 pounds per week just by cutting out pastry, white bread, sweet things. sugar, fat, and fried stuff. and i had smaller portions. and i did 30 sit ups and went running for 20 mins every day.

    I would like to mention that I used to ASK the same question to many 6 months back when I had just begun losing weight. This evening at the GYMNASIUM, I lost 1200 calories. Adopt the following if you have a gym near by:-
    Tread Mill is one machine you can straight away burn 200 calories in just 20-25 minutes (jogging and walking brisk)
    Cycling is another calorie burner machine and you can burn 100 cal in under 15 minutes.
    Running (if you run) is the best form of calorie burning and by mere 10 minutes of normal paced running, you will burn 150 calories.
    If not running, then walking brisk will enable you lose 7 calories every 1 minute. A 20 minute brisk walk will enable you lose 150 calories.
    A casual stroll after dinner for 10-15 minutes is highly beneficial for losing calories (say 50 odd)
    You need to again specify whether you can manage yourself at a gym or you want to burn calories without gymming-running.
