Does the Acai Berry really help you lose weight? is it bad for you?
Hi I am 18 years old, and am on my last 10 lb. before I reach my weight loss goal (I am 138 and am going for 128) but no matter how much I exercise (I dance 8 hours a week, and cycle 4 days a week, and do some kickboxing occasionally) and how many food I cut out (I cut out all processed food and eat lots of veggies and fiber rich foods) I cannot get the 10 pounds to go away.
Will this supplement help me lose more

It isn’t the popular "cleanse" one. Will it be bad for me to take this?
Thank you very much ![]()

Acai tastes and looks like poop. It has very, Very little effect on weight loss, But is very high in antioxidents. .
If you want to do a cleanse, I suggest eating only fruits and vegetables while drinking green tea for 3 or 4 days.

Any supplement is a 50/50 chance. Overall it’s not going to be bad for you because it’s approved to be sold in the United States, that doesn’t mean that it’s results have been evaluated by the FDA though. If it isn’t too expensive I say try it, I never had any luck with Acai but I do know that it’s a superfood and helped out my skin.
I would recommend (to lose that last, stubborn 10 lbs) you add some superfoods to your diet, but maybe not in a pill form. Throw some acai juice with blueberries, a banana, apple, protein powder and frozen yogurt into a blender and take that smoothie with you to dance for a boost. (Obviously try what recipes work for you and your taste buds). Make sure you’re getting enough protein and keeping your simple carbs low (don’t cut carbs altogether, please!)
Most of all, it sounds like you do a lot of cardio but how much weight lifting do you do? It seems contradictory but if you throw in two days a week of weightlifting I bet it will push you over that plateau you’re at right now. Cardio is good, but won’t build muscle, if you have muscle your body will naturally burn more calories and shave off that last ten pounds in 4 to 6 weeks tops.
To avoid bulking up: keep your calorie count low, stick to high reps of low weights, and ensure that you stretch out really well after every workout [as a dancer that should be no problem for you
].
Good luck!
