Acai is an antioxidant. It's fruit. It's not a magic weight loss food. As antioxidant-rich foods go, it's fine, but there are less expensive options. An acai smoothie isn't going to be much different from a blueberry smoothie.

"Smoothies" aren't the answer. You don't lose weight by eating "diet food" that still satisfies your "cravings." You lose weight by eating right and exercising.

If you bought it from a local store you have escaped the scam.
Acai won't harm you but there are more antioxidants in fresh fruit and vegetables,
Antioxidants do not aid weight loss.

They vaguely say it contains acai 'and other natural ingredients' and that some people have reported diarrhoea. One or two of the other natural ingredients must be laxatives. Look on the label and google each ingredient.
You only lose water weight which is soon replaced.
