Can I take a vitamin supplement along with Acai?

The Acai berry has a lot of antioxidants and apparently other nutrients like calcium. Some of these it is not safe to take too much of, so is it okay to also take a vitamin supplement with the Acai?
You can overdose on things like iron, calcium and Vit C. I can not find any info on exactly how much of these nutrients are in Acai, so can’t compare to my vitamins and make sure I am not taking too much.

First, ask your medical team – they are the only ones who will know what the effects will be.

Secondly, you may not need to take any vitamin supplements – recent studies at reputable centers have said that these have no effect. Better to take vitamins ‘naturally’, with veg and fruit. Look up the Mediterranean Diet on http://www.after-cancer.com.

There’s nothing magic about acai juice. If you normally take a multivitamin, it wouldn’t hurt if you continued.

Compared to raw cow’s milk, the Acai fruit pulp contains:

    - 3x more lipids
    - 7x more carbohydrates
    - 118x more iron
    - 9x more Vitamin B1
    - 8x more Vitamin C
    - same amount of protein and calcium
    - half as much phosphorous
