Can I live a healthy life just eating foods from these groups everyday?

I’m sick of eating foods that are bad for me and ready to make an 180. Now, I’ve been doing research on foods I should eat everyday. Can I eat these foods everyday and live a healthy life doing so? Also, will I get enough protein to where I won’t need my protein powder supplement anymore for my workouts?

I’ll list the different groups the websites recommended, basically said to eat the first food listed everyday or an alternative that’s listed under it.

I also make sure when I’m thirsty that the only thing I drink is water, and I never get less than 1 gallon a day.

Exercise is not a problem, I already exercise 6 out of the 7 days. I was just wondering about the food part :)

    with this diet you won’t be eating very healthy at all. it may seem like health food but that’s only because you’re eating part of the pyramid. you need to eat each food group every day, have a variety in your meals. just fruits and veggies won’t cut it. you need to eat a piece of chicken or some form of meat a day for protein. many people are misinformed on protein, they think they need protein shakes and drinks to build muscle. this is false. the amount of protein you receive from a piece of chicken will do just fine for a day and its workout because you really don’t burn that much while you’re exercising. if you take in too much protein it can be harmful to the body.

    I highly recommend though that you join sparkspeople.com

    It tells you exactly what you need to have a healthy day of eating
    also I know you said you already excise and I’m sure that you know exercises but sparkspeople will give you an exercise plan, and show you how to do the exercises in little demos.. and a diet plan so it tells you what you can eat that day which is enough to get all the nutrients you need

    Ever since I joined it feel soooo much better… I highly recommend this site

    you don’t have to join and I don’t like to advertise sites that much but this is just my opinion if you are really into getting into good health

    plus wouldn’t hurt to check it out!

    Oh and also http://www.mypyramid.gov/ you can get how much vegetables you need and fruits and meats

    Just go to the I want to… section on the right and there is a link that says "Get a personalized Plan"

    oh and also if you eat added sugars make sure you only have 40 grams per day and not more.
